The Celestial Mirror
Before humanity walked the earth, the Angels built a Sanctuary. It was placed directly beneath the Bayt al-Ma'mur (The Frequented House) in the Seventh Heaven, where 70,000 angels perform Tawaf daily, never to return.
This earthly house is the axis of the world. It is the connection point between the physical and the spiritual.
Adam & Eve: The Reunion
When our parents were cast down from Paradise, they were separated. For years they wandered the earth, weeping.
They finally found each other at Mount Arafat (The Mount of Mercy). It was there that humanity was reunited. It is there that we return during Hajj to seek the same forgiveness they sought.

The Mother of Submission
Ibrahim left his wife Hagar and infant Ismael in the barren valley of Makkah. When she asked, "Did Allah command you to do this?" and he signaled yes, she said: "Then He will not abandon us."
She ran between Safa and Marwa seven times searching for water. Angel Gabriel struck the earth, and Zamzam gushed forth. We run today because she ran then.
